YouTube has become an exciting and profitable means of Internet marketing for many companies. According to Wikipedia, market research by comScore shows that YouTube is the number one provider of online video content in the United States with over 14 billion videos viewed during May, 2010. They estimate that twenty four hours of new videos are uploaded every minute, and Alexa states that it is the third most visited website on the Internet, with Google and Facebook holding the top two slots. On YouTube, members view and make comments on each other’s videos. A link on the profile page is used to drive traffic to a specific website, thus generating sales, new leads, and added market exposure for companies.
